Tell us more about you
I've been an athlete since I was 13 years old, first competing nationally in karate and wrestling, then moving on to bodybuilding in my 20s. My 1st bodybuilding show was 1999 in NJ. But, due to the financial constraints of being a young father, I couldn't pursue bodybuilding at that time.
When I moved to FL in 2008 I connected with Tim Gardner who became my 1st BB coach. That year I won the Super Heavyweight and Overall title at the Florida State championship. I was nationally qualified but was not allowed to compete on the national level in the US because I'm a Jamaican citizen with legal residency in the US. I tried a few shows in the Caribbean to gain my Pro card, at great expense. I was newly married, had 4 young stepkids and a new business to build, there was no way I could continue in my pursuit.
8 years later, at the age of 43, after much prodding by clients, family and friends to try one more time, I reached out to Tim again to see what shows I could get into to win my coveted pro card! As they say, the rest is history. I got my Pro card in a large international show in Toronto, winning the overall as well. I did my Pro debut the following year in 2018 at Tim Gardner's Tampa Pro.
I own and operate a personal training business in Wesley Chapel, FL as well as train up-and-coming competitors. I've been married for 14 years, we have 8 kids together and 11 grandchildren. My breakout year in bodybuilding was this year, at the age of 47; I battled for 1st & 2nd in 2 big shows against top-level Olympians.
